The Serbian government has extended the deadline for submitting applications for participation in the 25-year concession tender for the country’s Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport from May 25 till May 30.
The deadline extention was requested by interested investors, the government said in a notice published by Politika.
This is the third extension of the deadline, which was initially set for March 10 and later changed to April 24.
The selection process will take place in two phases. Non-binding offers will be submitted in the first phase, while binding offers will be filed in the second.
The future concessionaire will be obliged to finance, develop through construction and reconstruction, maintain and manage the entire infrastructure of the Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport.
The Serbian government owns 83.1 pct of Aerodrom Nikola Tesla, the operator of Belgrade airport. The company reported a RSD 3.2 bln net profit for 2016 compared with RSD 3.3 bln a year earlier.
