JYSK Group, Danish furniture and home décor retailer, has reported successful business results in the financial year 2013/2014, achieving a total turnover of 2.8 billion EUR.

In the period from the 1st of September 2013 to the 31st of August 2014, the Group recorded a 10 percent turnover increase versus the corresponding period in the previous financial year. Pre-tax profit rose to 392.3 million EUR compared to 299.7 million EUR in the year 2013/2012.

At present, JYSK Group consists of more than 2.2000 furniture stores in 37 countries worldwide. “In the coming financial year, we are expecting a slight increase in profits. However, a great deal of uncertainty is attached to this due to the continuing fluctuations of macroeconomic conditions in many European countries,” stated the chain’s press release.

JYSK Group is positioned as a market leader on the European furniture market, offering a vast assortment of good quality, affordable. The chain is part of Lars Larsen Group, which also owns the furniture brands Bolia.com, IDEobler and ILVA, as well as a number of other companies. The annual turnover of Lars Larsen Group stands at 3.1 billion EUR.

Within the South East Europe region, JYSK is currently present in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Serbia, Slovenia, Romania and Kosovo.
