Foreign tourist arrivals to Croatia totaled 550,871 in the first three months of 2025, down 16.3% on the year, the statistical office said.

The number of overnights spent by foreign tourists in Croatia decreased 16.7% on the year to some 1.4 million in the January-March period, the statistical office said in a monthly report. Local tourist arrivals increased 7.3% to some 452,843, and the number of overnights climbed 3.4% to some 915,527 in the period under review. Foreign tourist arrivals to the Adriatic country reached 17.4 million last year, up 3.1% compared to 2023. Tourism is a key industry for the economy of the Adriatic country, contributing almost fifth of the country’s GDP.
