Dm drogerie markt, German health and beauty retailer, has recorded successful business results in Croatia in the financial year 2013/2014, achieveing a turnover of 257 million EUR, states the company’s official press release.
The chain’s annual revenues have risen by 0.48 percent compared to the previous financial year, with the company-owned brands accounting for 26 percent of total sales. “Last year, we have invested over 5 million EUR into expanding and modernizing our existing retail network,” stated Mirko Mrakuzic, Director at dm drogerie markt Croatia.
At present, the German drogerie chain operates 154 stores in 60 Croatian cities, employing more than 1.290 people. According to its press release, plans for next year include reaching the number of 160 units and investing approximately 6.5 million EUR in Croatia.
For future store openings, dm drogerie markt is seeking retail units covering a minimum of 300 sqm, positioned within shopping malls, retail parks and on highly frequented high streets. The company’s assortment incorporates 15.000 beauty, health, baby, home and gift articles by the brands Maybelline, Max Factor, Rimmel, Nivea, Palmolive, Essence, Aussie, Veet, Colgate, Bourjois, Deborah, Schwartzkopf, Miss Sporty, Rosal, Manhattan and many others.
Within South East Europe, dm drogerie markt is also present in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Romania and Macedonia. Overall, the chain operates more than 3.060 stores in 12 European countries, employing more than 52.000 people.
