29 March 2017, 12:59, (Property Xpress) – Subotica-based construction firm SMB, appointed general contractor for Capitol Park Sombor retail park, has begun work on the site at the corner of Josif Pancica and Vladike Nikolaja Streets in the Serbian northern town of Sombor, Dnevnik.rs reports.

Capitol Park Sombor will span more than 5,600 sq. m, of which 2,500 sq. m will be occupied by a Lidl supermarket, while the remaining 3,100 sq. m will be divided into ten retail stores. The retail park will provide parking for 250 cars.
The opening is scheduled for autumn 2017.

With a catchment area including neighboring Hungary and Croatia, the retail park will primarily serve the 86,000 residents of the Municipality of Sombor and surrounding Vojvodina towns.
Capitol Park Sombor is a development project of Britain’s Poseidon Group, already operating one retail park in Serbia, in the western town of Sabac, and developing another in Rakovica, Belgrade.
