All the changes pertaining to the manner of handling real estate publicly owned by the City of Belgrade and real estate where the City of Belgrade has special ownership authority are the result of the harmonization with the amendments to the Law on Public Property, it was announced by the Secretariat for Property-Legal Affairs.
As specified, under the Law on Public Property and the amendments to the Decision on the manner of handling real estate publicly owned by the City of Belgrade and real estate where the City of Belgrade has special ownership, if a piece of real estate is not alienated from public ownership in a public advertising procedure, the initial estimated value of it can be reduced by 20%, Beoinfo reports.
In the case of the piece of real estate not being alienated from public ownership even in a repeated procedure of public advertising with the reduced initial price, the value can be reduced by 40% and public advertising can continue at that price.
In its press release, the Secretariat for Property-Legal Affairs notes that the City of Belgrade does not own real estate for representative needs and that publicly owner general use goods and infrastructure cannot be subject to alienation and that the said provisions therefore do not pertain to them.
