Construction of Capitol Park shopping center in Sombor, valued at EUR 10 million, should commence in the first half of the next year, while its opening is expected in 2016.
As announced on the website of the Sombor municipality, final agreement on the construction of this shopping center in Sombor is reached.
– We spoke about what the city can do to have the implementation of this investment started as soon as possible, without obstacles and problems. Quickly and efficiently we agreed on both technical details and the support that the city offers to investors in terms of reduced fees for building land development. The amount of these building land development fees will be regulated by the decisions of the City Council and the City Assembly, and they will depend on the investment value – said Sinisa Todorovic, a member of the City Council for Economy and Finance.
Boris Petric, a representative of the British company Poseidon, expressed satisfaction with the efficiency of city administration and announced that the shopping center would be built in the location of the former factory Bane Sekulic near the bus station.
– This shopping center will occupy a surface area of 9,200 square meters, and the value of the investment is EUR 10 illion. Construction works alone will cost between 7 and 7.5 million euro. Our plan is to begin the construction in H1 2015 and open this facility in 2016. Main designs will be completed by the year’s end – said Petric.
Sombor-based Capitol Park will employ up to 200 people in the stores of famous brands.
