Split, Croatia – 17 October 2019 – Poseidon Group, the London-based commercial property investor, developer and asset manager, today confirmed that construction is set at Business Park Dalmatia (BPD) of a 30,000 sqm logistics facility for a major Croatian food retailer. Located in Dugopolje close to Split, BPD has remaining land of almost 245,000 sqm (approximately 24 ha).
Business Park Dalmatia is already the leading location in the region for distribution logistics, light manufacturing and food production facilities, among others. It has immediate access to major road networks and is fully provided with modern infrastructure for water, gas, sewage and high-speed telecommunications that gives maximum flexibility to Croatian and international investors alike that will provide a major jobs’ boost to residents in and around Dalmatia.
The minimum plot for development at BPD is 20,000 sqm (2 ha). The location possesses excellent access to public transportation and is highly visible from the adjacent A1 Dubrovnik-Zagreb highway, 10 minutes’ drive from Split and 30 minutes from Split International Airport. Investors enjoy the support of the local municipality developing the Dugopolje Business Zone.

Other initatives
Meanwhile, Poseidon Group also announced the December opening of Zadar Shopping Capitol, bringing to eight the number of retail parks and neighbourhood centres that it operates in Croatia. The Group continues to expand and strengthen its Capitol Park network throughout the country. By the end of 2020, it will operate 11 Capitols nationwide.
Zadar, for example, will see a new food retailer replace Konzum as the main anchor tenant. The 6,400 sqm building will also include tenants from the non-food sector. Past tenants that remain in the new look scheme include Mana Moda, Planet Obuća, RBA Bank, Makromikro Group, Intertekstil Stanić, Bio Svijet, and several others. New non-food tenants that will enrich the existing offer is household goods retailer TEDi. The new tenant mix offers a fresh shopping experience and ensures that Zadar Shopping Capitol will become a new city centre shopping destination for the 75,000-strong local community.
The Capitol Park platform is part of Poseidon Group’s retail real estate portfolio composed of more than 280,000 sqm of built and managed Capitol Parks and Capitol Centres across SE Europe, and 90,000 sqm of built supermarkets alongside more than 1,000 residential apartments and houses.
