A total of 3,167,059 tourists visited the Republic of Serbia in the January-October 2019, which is 6% more compared to the same period in 2018, the Tourism Organization of Serbia (TOS) says in a press release.<\/p>\n
As shown by the data of the Statistical Office of Serbia, of this number, 1,588,895 were local tourists (6% more compared to January-October 2018), or 50% of the total number of guests, whereas the number of foreign ones amounted to 1,578,164 (7% more), that is, 50% of the total number of guests.<\/p>\n
In the first nine months of the current year, there were a total of 8,743,413 overnight stays (6% more compared to the same period last year). The biggest number of overnight stays in the January-October 2019 period was realized by tourists from B&H, followed by tourists from China, Montenegro, Turkey, Russia etc.<\/p>\n
