According to Serbia’s Statistical Office data, Serbia’s GDP grew 2.5% in 2013. In quarterly terms, y-o-y GDP growth equalled 3.0% in Q1, 0.5% in Q2, 3.8% in Q3 and 2.7% in Q4 2013.
\nAs suggested by s-a data, industrial production fell 1.2% m-o-m, but rose 1.1% y-o-y in February 2014.
\nObserved by structure, manufacturing and the supply of electricity, gas and steam recorded a y-o-y rise of 1.1% and 2.0% respectively. In contrast, the sector of mining experienced a 0.4% fall y-o-y.
\nManufacturing dropped 2.8% s-a in February. The major negative contribution to total industry was provided by the production of textiles and other transportation means. The strongest boost came from the production of tobacco products and construction material.
\nRetail trade was up 0.2% in real y-o-y terms in February.
