17 March 2017 saw the official start of construction of Capitol Park Rakovica, a EUR 30M investment which at 65 ha will be Belgrade\u2019s biggest retail park with 40 international and Serbian tenants. \u00a0It will employ up to 1,000 people during the construction phase and a further 450 in retail roles once fully opened. \u00a0It will serve 300,000 residents in the southern suburbs of Serbia\u2019s capital, including the municipalities of Rakovica, Cukarica and Vozdovac. \u00a0This will be Poseidon Group\u2019s third retail park in Serbia, after the opening of Capitol Parks in Sabac and Sombor, and is supported by leading local construction sector companies including ElitaCop, Gradina and Vila Grad, with co-investment from Mitiska REIM from Belgium. \u00a0The event was attended by Poseidon director James Gunn, City of Belgrade mayor Sinisa Mali, Serbian Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic, Minister of Energy and Mining Aleksandar Antic, and Rakovica\u2019s municipal president Vladan Kocic.<\/p>\n
